  • pounds ground turkey
  • 1 small yellow onion, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, grated onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and onion powder.
  3. Add egg, BBQ sauce, ketchup, almond flour, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
  4. Transfer mixture onto prepared baking sheet and shape into a 9×5 inch loaf.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together BBQ sauce and ketchup for the topping.
  6. Brush glaze generously over the loaf.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use 93/7 ground turkey for the juiciest texture.
  • Do not overmix the meat mixture.
  • Extra BBQ sauce on top makes everything even better.
  • Leftovers make incredible sandwiches the next day.
