Ingredients

- 3.5 to 4 pounds Wagyu beef brisket
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 2.5 cups ketchup divided
- 1 cup brown sugar divided
- 0.75 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce divided
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Mix all dry rub ingredients in a bowl
- Rub brisket on all sides
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes
- Combine sauce ingredients in slow cooker
- Add brisket and coat with sauce
- Cook on high for 5 hours
- Remove brisket and place on baking sheet
- Skim fat and simmer sauce until thick
- Brush brisket with sauce and broil for 4 to 5 minutes
- Slice thinly and serve with extra sauce
Notes
Cook low and slow for best results let brisket rest before slicing slice against the grain and adjust sauce flavor to taste
