This recipe uses two simple techniques that work together perfectly: simmering and grilling. Here’s how to get the juiciest brats with the best flavor.

Step 1: Simmer the Brats in Beer

Place a large pot over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Pour in the beer and sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
