Description

This teriyaki air fryer salmon is fast, comforting, and a little impressive without the effort. It’s glossy, flavorful, perfectly flaky, and ready in under 20 minutes. The salmon turns tender and juicy with caramelized edges from a sweet and savory glaze, making it feel like takeout but homemade.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 56 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 tablespoon cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and cornstarch.
  3. Pour half the sauce over salmon and marinate 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  5. Place salmon skin-side up and cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
  6. Heat remaining sauce until thickened into a glaze.
  7. Flip salmon, brush with glaze, and cook 2 to 3 more minutes.
  8. Serve warm with extra glaze if desired.

Notes

Dry salmon before cooking for better texture. Do not overcrowd the air fryer. Use parchment paper for easy cleanup. Check internal temperature for doneness. Double the sauce if serving with rice or bowls.
