Description

This Steak Cobb Salad Recipe is colorful, fresh, and packed with flavor. Juicy steak, crisp lettuce, creamy avocado, and bold toppings come together for a satisfying, restaurant-style meal that is easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (New York strip or similar)
  • 2 tbsp thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 8 cups lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chives
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix thyme, chives, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the steak.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the steak for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping occasionally, until desired doneness.
  5. Remove steak and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Slice the steak into thin strips.
  7. Arrange lettuce on a platter and add tomatoes, eggs, corn, avocado, onion, and blue cheese in rows.
  8. Whisk together vinegar, Dijon mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt.
  9. Drizzle dressing over the salad and serve.

Notes

Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy. Slice against the grain for tenderness. Keep dressing separate if prepping ahead. Swap blue cheese with feta or cheddar if preferred. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
