Description

When dinner needs to happen *now*, this Speedy Shrimp Scampi is your new best friend—fast, fancy-looking, and downright delicious.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 34 garlic cloves, minced or slivered
  • ¼½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Add shrimp and wine; cook 2 minutes until shrimp turn pink on one side.
  4. Flip shrimp, cook 1–2 minutes more.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, parsley, and black pepper.
  6. Serve hot with pasta, bread, or rice.

Notes

For extra richness, add a pat of butter before serving. If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely before cooking. Add grated Parmesan if you want a touch of creaminess.
