Description

Juicy, flavorful meatloaf burgers baked to perfection in the oven – a simple, hearty meal your whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 for balance)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (any variety)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, egg, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently by hand until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 6-8 equal patties.
  4. In a separate bowl, stir together 1/2 cup ketchup, barbecue sauce, and mustard. Spoon the glaze over each patty.
  5. Place patties on the rack. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Optional: Broil for 2-3 minutes at the end for a crispy top.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat to maintain a tender texture. Great served on buns, sandwich bread, or with mashed potatoes. Make a double batch and freeze leftovers for quick meals.
