Description

A quick and flavorful Lemon Herb Tilapia that’s juicy, citrusy, and ready in just 20 minutes. Perfect for a healthy, weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 whole lemons (1 sliced, 1 juiced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix tarragon, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Slice one lemon into thin rounds, removing seeds. Juice the other lemon and pour over both sides of the tilapia fillets.
  4. Sprinkle herb mixture over both sides of fish.
  5. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high. Add fish and cook 3–5 minutes until golden. Flip, squeeze on extra lemon juice, add lemon slices, and transfer skillet to oven.
  6. Bake 3–5 minutes, until fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  7. Serve fish topped with lemon slices and pan juices.

Notes

Use any mild white fish in place of tilapia. Swap in your favorite dried or fresh herbs. Don’t skip the lemon slices—they caramelize and add extra zing.
