Description

These ground lamb kebabs are juicy, fast to grill, and full of warm spices. Whether you’re hosting a party or meal prepping, this lamb meatballs twist is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 tbsp grated onion
  • 3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground allspice
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 28 bamboo skewers, soaked for 30 minutes


Instructions

  1. Mash garlic and salt into a paste.
  2. Mix lamb, garlic paste, onion, parsley, and spices in a bowl.
  3. Shape into 28 small balls and press each onto a skewer into an oval.
  4. Place on a tray, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes (or up to 12 hours).
  5. Preheat grill to medium, oil the grate, and grill skewers 5-6 minutes, turning often.
  6. Internal temperature should reach 145°F.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

To make lamb meatballs instead, roll into 1-inch balls and bake at 375°F for 18-20 minutes. Serve with yogurt sauce or over couscous.
