Description

These smoked brisket sandwiches are juicy, saucy, and layered with creamy crunchy slaw for the perfect bite. Made with leftover brisket, this easy comfort meal comes together fast and tastes like you spent hours on it.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb leftover smoked brisket, chopped or shredded
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 8 sandwich pickles
  • 2 cups broccoli slaw mix or coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix slaw mix, cabbage, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and sugar until creamy.
  2. Heat brisket gently in a pan with BBQ sauce over low heat.
  3. Lightly toast the buns until golden.
  4. Place pickles on the bottom bun, add brisket, top with slaw, and close with the top bun.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add a splash of broth or extra BBQ sauce when reheating brisket to keep it juicy. Chop or shred brisket for better texture. Adjust slaw seasoning to taste. Try adding cheese or jalapenos for extra flavor.
